There are loads of sweet things being developed. I was looking at installing some Deep well geothermal plants down south - when they've pulled all the oil out the cavern is still filled with super heated water, which you can use to spin a turbine theoretically for ever... good use of left over holes in the gound. Only problem is they are not in the most accessable places. Tidal turbines could be pretty sweet.... or a nice line of wind turbines off the north cost of Ohio in the lake... where it's a wind power zone 3 - 4 and not a salt water environment... that would be good too.

Cool. What about tidal/offshore wind combination turbines? You know if anyone has done this? Seems logical...to someone who is not an engineer.
